Remote control doesn't lock anymore, but still unlocks

My remote control suddenly quit locking the doors, but unlock by remote still works. Locking by key in the door works as normal. Car shows all doors closed when it is closed, so I can't understand what blocks the remote locking. Any ideas?
 
Hi, first thing to try is with the car open disconnect the car battery and leave disconnected for about 30 minutes. Reconnect the battery and resync the remote to the car. If no change after resynching the remote then fit a fresh CR2032 battery - not one that has been lying around for a while. Again resync the remote. If this also fails what condition is the remote plastics in? Are the buttons badly worn? Next the button on the circuit board could be faulty and lastly the CCCU could be failing.
 
Do you have both keys? Have you tried both of them if so? I agree that a bad micro switch in the fob circuit board is likely the culprit here.
