Remote locking repairs???

Hi

I have just put a deposit down to buy mwh's A2 next week once the broken spring has been replaced.

mwh mentioned that the remote locking doesn't work despite having replaced some module located under the passenger flooring with a module he sourced from ebay. Although this replacement now allows the central locking to work from the door locks.

So what is it that I have to do to restore the remote locking (and presumably the alarm). Is this going to be an expensive repair? Any opinion where would be the best place to have this done?

Thanks

The keys will need rematching and this is a job for someone with VCDS. It's not a case of re-syncing, you need to have diagnostic kit.

Thanks for your quick reply. Yes mwh mentioned this, do you think that we are on the right track with regards to the module (what module is it???) under the passenger flooring needing replacing (maybe with a new one this time round)? Is this expensive to purchase from Audi?

If the module has already been replaced, then it should be working fine after a rematch, but if it does need replacing again, then they're around the £230 mark.

Cheers
