I too would be interested in how to remove these without damaging them. They are are to remove and have done it a few time.

I’ve not looked at the instructions but remember that there is 3 of the spring clips that are very stubborn and like to stay in the car. I’ve tried long nose pliers to pinch/squeeze them but so far fail to remove e them without destroying at least 1 recess where the clips go.

I stupidly fitted mine again recently but need to remove them again ti reupholster them in the same fabric as the headlining. The upper D pillars are also difficult to remove with causing damage. Reupholstering these parts will be pictorially shown on the Project OEM thread this week if I have the time.

Someone please help the OP and myself to not damage anything else.

Kind regards,

Tom

Hi guys,

The upper A-pillar trim is one of the most awkward pieces of trim to remove because it has barbed retention clips. These are barbed such that, in the event of an accident, they can't fly off and cause injury.
To remove them, they need to be slid along the A-pillar, away from the dashboard, in the direction of the ceiling. This is a lot easier if the headlining is removed.

Cheers,

Tom

Cheers Tom,

I knew the answer would be simple! Off to remove them again shortly ready for new fabric. Headlining removed ready for the same treatment.

Kind regards,
