Hello, I'm a new A2 owner. I have 2001 1.4 petrol A2. when I bought it the check engine light was on, so i got it to diagnostics and they said that lambda sensor are dead. As fare as I know it is made by Bosch, can I replace it with other manufacture sensor that has 4 wires?

Sorry we dont seem to have any first hand experience as I don't recall any of our club members fitting 'generic' lambda sensors - but it must be possible as some UK companies advetise them - see link for one example. http://www.gendan.co.uk/category_112.html
Make sure you have some sort of guarantee that its suitable for the A2
