Replacement intercooler options

Things have gone well today but really just got stuck at what seems to be a silly point.

Removed pipes 2 screws from both behind and in front of the existing intercooler but it's still not budging. Anything I've missed?

Appreciate it's got to be removed from the rubber stoppers but something seems to be gripping from the radiator side?

The intercooler has two plastic tubes which protrude into the rubber stoppers opposite to the radiator which are a pain to remove from. When i did it i just unscrewed the left of the aircon condenser & radiator so it pulled forwards a bit and prised the intercooler out.
It needed some persuasion and prising with a screwdriver.

The radiator need to at least pivot in the center to remove the intercooler from it.

As you are replacing the intercooler you can cut off the lugs but you will still struggle to fit the new one unless the radiator can move

Yup had those out already but it was stuck fast at the right hand side as I say so put them back in (not the easiest thing to do) thinking I needed to get the radiator side out first.

Definitely something holding firm between the radiator and the intercooler but cant work it out :)

May be a few useful pictures in this thread...

Thanks guys took the centre screws out from the radiator and got it out....couldn't see the 2 additional screws which I then got out. New intercooler in and all hooked up.

Glad it looks like the job will wrap up successfully. Make sure that you have not dislodged the turbo outlet pipe.
