Correct and useful to know know you have found the reverse gear. - AndyThe genuine system i think should beep when you engage reverse. Then as long as no obstruction in way remain silent.

Sensors in bumper will check for code but as car has open sky 4 electric Windows bose symphony and sub with leather seat think they are genuineAre you sure that it's equipped with parking sensors?
If you want to know what your car came with as OEM equipment, check the options list for FT0, FT1 or FT2.
Think genuine but will check codeHi. Are they genuine park sensors or aftermarket?

Okay thanks looked on fuse panel couldn't see called up will have to search for fuse number should save time knowing where buzzer is nowI have oem parking sensors, very useful and would be my number one mod otherwise. Mine failed a few years ago and turned out to be the buzzer speaker, not expensive, the problem was finding it! Genuine part, came with diagram of location which showed it hidden behind rear bumper, but turned out not to be there. Found eventually in the cabin hidden behind the trim on the n/s D(?) pillar [trim between boot and the rear most n/s little window].
In your case simple things first, check fuse (which I am not sure off the top of my head), if oem VCDS certainly reports on the parking module in an auto scan, locate buzzer speaker and test if it is getting a supply when a sensor is masked over with tape. If a supply replace buzzer speaker if no supply looks like wiring fault or control unit.
Bear in mind I am no expert, just common sense.

Caution, do not assume your parking buzzer is the same location as mine (55 plate), it may have changed location during the A2 production years. Anybody else know of the buzzer location?Okay thanks looked on fuse panel couldn't see called up will have to search for fuse number should save time knowing where buzzer is now
