RS4 steering wheel

Yes, it would fit physically, but you'll never get the buttons to function, as they are specifically assigned to RS4 functions.

I've fitted the new style TT into Tank and it will soon have the multi-function buttons hooked up and working. It also has a full leather grip (as opposed to the silver plastic on the RS) and came with an airbag for a little less than this is priced up at.

Cheers,

Mike

Hi.
We allready got the Multifunktion buttons to work(no, they allready have been working for the Radio and phone, but we got the tiptronikbuttons to work as well): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8J9YAO1fSI8
This shows the Audi A2 1.2TDI (3l) wich has an automised gearbox and what we did, is to switch the gears with the tiptronikbuttons!
I built the elektronik control box for this.
We realised a second (and third) funktion for this: If using the automatikmodus, you can switch the ECO-Button (1.2TDI only , 45 HP or 61HP and start-stopp automatik off) while pressing the Minus-button and there is one more funktion left, for the plus-button.
Read it here: http://forum.a2-freun.de/thread.php?postid=169161#post169161
But this uses an Audi A6 stearingwheel and the original "MFL-Steuergerät" (multifunktioncontrollbox)

1.2 TDI MultiFunction and GRA

Good information on MFSW for my 1.2 TDI - U tube video great!

I wonder if this modification might also work with the old TT 'paddle' MFSW' or new TT and R8 style wheel fitted by Skipton?

GRA. I've not found any way to operate GRA without electro mechanical operation of throttle pedal using servo/bowden cable system - as fitted by other A2 1.2 TDI owners.

Has anyone attempted to use a second 1.2 TDI 'ecu' to provide missing GRA engine/speed control channels and avoid servo controlled throttle?

Ciao,

Erling

You life in the UK and have a 1.2TDI?
Was it sold in the UK??

The GRA vor the 1.2 ist much more difficult than for all others (1.4). As you know, you need a servo controlled throttle for that..

The MFST (im am not shure, if "Mütze" and "aluholz" from our german forum has the same stearing wheel) needs a controll box which switches one Pin on ground (for the minus-button) and another for the plus-button.
The A6 STwheel does this direktly without a controll box (as far as i have seen it).
So I would say, this will also work with other stearingwheels.
But I could check this .
At the verry end (last 3 seconds) in the video you see (using the automaticmodus) the Eco funktion aktivated by the Minus-button and off again.

Erstens - UK 1.2 TDI

Thanks for information.

I ordered my car new from Eduard Winter in Berlin in May 2005, collected it in August and drove it back to UK as a personal import.

Berlin Audi dealer fitted UK spec speed instrument and headlamps so I could easily 'homologate' car with UK authorities for registration. This was completed in September 2005.

I sold my original 2001 1.4 TDI SE in early 2006.

Since then I have used the car most days and it has now travelled over 65,000 kms. I enjoy driving my 1.2 TDI very much.

I regret not ordering 'winterradsatz' with new car - I keep looking on eBay, but 145/80R14 on 4.5Jx14 wheel for 1.2 TDI not available.

Ciao,

Erling
