Dear everyone, thank you for coming to our first annual Scottish Meeting. I really hope you all enjoyed yourselves, I now know a bit more about planning an event like this and will hopefully avoid some of the amateurish mistakes I made this year. Thank you to everyone who helped make it a success. Everyone I asked or volunteered was unfailingly generous with their help. Thank you. What a wonderful bunch you are!
I'm not sure I'd agree with amateurish mistakes really. For the Owners Club, is my role to organise (with guidance from local.hosts where its an area I don't know) may be a different set up with the Owners Group, but I think that in general there are a couple of unwritten rules
1) At least one person (or indeed, based on the time about 15 of us circled a village 3 times a few years back, the whole convoy) has to go astray on a drive out, through no fault of their own
2) Food be it in a pub or provided should be slightly chaotic but always lovely
3) Any mishaps or similar just serve to make it all the memorable
It was a great weekend in a beautiful country and a massive thanks to you for hosting. I know the area better now so can help more in the future.

100%. I've led about 20 cars into a carpark not big enough for 5 on one occasion, it was all taken in good spirit.

Thank you for your kind comments Teresa, and that you for all your help and general smile-iness

Enjoyed meeting folk on the Saturday & thoroughly enjoyed the run up to Balmoral with the convoy on Sunday.
Vera was telling me that she couldn't help but smile when thinking about everybody's enthusiasm & sense of fun. Sums up the club to me.
Hope to meet up again sometime & that you all made home safely.

Peter

We're on our 2nd leg of our Scottish hols, arrived at the cottage near Fort William to this view, not bad we thought. Going on the Jacobite on Wednesday.

Glad to hear you made it home safe and sound. Did you enjoy the run from Crathie back to Perth? Fingers crossed that it's nothing too serious with Mabel 🤞
It was beautiful - thank you for the route. Got up to just over 2000 feet. You have such lovely scenery. You'd laugh so much at what we call a hill down here 😂

What a great weekend. With a wonderful variety of cars and people I was on information overload for a while, The club has so many great ambassadors I have no reason to doubt it must be one of the best out there and felt reassured when I discovered I had a Wabasco heater. ( thanks Iain) Ainsley's starting to worry since she realized that most people have more than one A2 and so conversations with George may be resumed as he only encourages my daft idea of getting another. Tom's presence in the garage and the power of work he gets through doesn't do justice to the word Impressive. Hopefully we'll be able to travel south to meet some more members in the not to distant future but in the mean time Thank You to George and Teresa for making this one happen on my doorstep and to everyone we met.
Safe travels.

Oh, enjoy. We did 'the' Jacobite with Lewis last year. It's a fantastic experience.
