Is this on the tour Murdo? What a road!!! Really looking forward to this.
Yes. That's Monday's cruise to lunch at the Applecross Inn . You'll see why we will be staged in groups of 3 cars at 5 minute intervals! This is not a road for a convoy!

Just glad to be taking part. I live in rural Wales and it has nothing to compare with this. Having never been to Scotland may can't come fast enough.

This is a stunning, almost surreal scenery (Fairy pool, Isle of Skye). Beautiful! We both can't wait 23 May when we will start the journey. And looking forward to see you all there.

Steall falls is close to Fort William, been on my list for a while(longer than it should have been as it's <100 miles from home. Really looking forward to bringing the family back to Skye and surrounding, this area really does make it easy to be a proud Scot.

Day 4 - Monday 27 May will start early with a visit to the Fairy Glen in Uig very close to our digs. We will then drive South through the island again, cross the bridge and visit Dornie and Eilean Donan castle before heading to Applecross via the famous Bealach na Ba road . This is a Mecca for car enthusiasts and rightly so. It's breathtaking! We stop in Applecross for food and at this stage it will be a break point of people starting to head for home (suggest Fort William for overnight again) or do their own thing and stay longer in the North if desired. It's an opportunity to make a longer holiday of the break. For those who wish to stay on another night, there is the option of the Applecross Campsite. http://www.applecross.uk.com/campsite/tariffs.html

Day 5 - Tuesday 28 May will be the journey home after a wonderful action-packed 4 day break in the beautiful Skye.

That's a whistle stop tour folks and a flavour of the proposed adventure. All very flexible so you can tag along doing as much or as little of the itinerary as you wish.

Please add your name to the thread and confirm if you wish to attend!

I can assist with accommodation bookings and more detail will be posted as we progress. I've block booked the Cowshed for the Saturday and Sunday so we have opportunity to be together as a group and the costs are very reasonable. Skye hotels and B&B are considerably more expensive and early booking will be a must. It is am extremely popular destination for its natural beauty and much besides.

Enough for now - enjoy the photos, hope they inspire a good attendance and I'd love to host you in my spiritual home of Skye! Thanks for reading and I look forward to seeing you on what will be a fun-filled A2OC social!

Any questions just post on the thread and I'll do my best to help out.

Day 3 now changed to include Eilean Donan and a trip to Plockton as the castle was fully booked for groups on the holiday Monday.

There is still a few places available at the Skye accomodation if anyone is tempted to join the highlands tour .

I keep asking the boss but the answer still comes back as No, don’t keep on about it & no, I don’t want to see the photos thank you very much!

Sorry Cenick - I'm going to keep plugging the trip . You know you want to ........??

Looking at School holiday dates in Tayside I still think that I'm missing any options despite how appealing this looks irrespective of which car I use. D*@m, given the relative proximity.

Recently watched the making of the latest Danny Macaskill video on Scottish TV. Filmed on Skye both the scenery and his riding skills are breath taking -

Shame that only the finished film is available on youtube

Cheers Spike

We're visiting that very spot where Danny does the crazy stunt over the fence then sits on the beach. ?
