Ian @Proghound, please let Elise know that this mountain is FIT with a capital F, I and T. :D

FIT, that's not the half of it, it's absolutely STUNNING! Vertiginous drops even in wide-angle so I can only imagine what it looked like in the eye's natural 50mm focus. Elise wasn't impressed of course ;)

A couple of photos of the A2OC crew -

The beauty of Skye...

Exclusive A2OC seal-spotting boat trip. We didn't see a single seal, but the views of the landscape from the water more than made up for it...

I saw one seal because I was chatting to the skipper, but it was brief sighting, as the seal dived and didn't resurface...I didn't have time to get my camera out...I think it hated the rain ?

Thought I'd better post up a few since we were there ;)

From the Skye bridge. You can guess which bit we're going to, it's raining there ;)

The view over to Skye from the coast road up from Applecross. If you zoom in to the right you can see the northern end of the Outer Hebrides.

What a difference a couple of days makes :) @wills and Tamara were there too, hope some other people managed to see Eilean Donan in its proper glory.

There will be more tomorrow when we get home - the wifi in this hotel (Premier Inn Carlisle M6 J44) is so slow to upload that it's now got to bedtime!

It was great to visit the castle in the sunshine, but we had a feeling we were being followed....??

I did promise a few more photos for yesterday, sorry they're late! These are some from our travels in Scotland after the social.

Loch Carron, from the village - our favourite place after Skye. The run down Strathcarron from Inverness was amazing.

Loch Ness itself all dark and moody - I do love the panorama function on this camera, sorry!

Finally, this is on the A939 Military Road near Bridge of Brown en route to Inverness. Looking the other way there's a nice view of the Cairngorms, which unfortunately didn't translate into a nice photo. But this is the best one I have yet taken of our faithful transport which took us over 1800 miles in a week (failure of alternator freewheel notwithstanding ;)).
