I am driving to Scotland (Ardnamurchan point) for a rowing trip towards the end of June so may be able to join around then. Would I need a translator? ?
Likely it'll be before then. Don't worry about a translator. If we didn't understand you a friendly nod and a smile works wonders.

We are flexible on dates as we are likely to have a few days up there either before or after but nothing booked yet

Multiple choice poll added. There are some clashes with other club events in the choices plus Easter school holidays to consider.

11th April or 9th May would work well logistically for anyone coming from further afield, both weekends have a Bank Holiday on the Friday to travel up.
I can only make one of those dates though so for me it's?for the majority choice.

My parents live a mile from there. I’m sure they would answer any translation questions you might have when you come to visit the peninsula. You’ll have to drive past their house to get to the point

Just an idea for another occasion - the National Museum of Flight is just east of Edinburgh, and isn't the Jim Clark Motor Museum somewhere around that way as well? Some of us in the NW and NE of England might be able to make it for those, I would anyway.
Good idea. I've not been at East Fortune since I was at the fire training school nearby and Jim Clark is in Duns nearer the border. Previous Scottish meets have focused on an easily commutable spot on the central belt - however this is a great idea for a future social.

We're coming out of the lockdown and would be good to get together?
Personal view is that its too early to be considering an organised meeting - but you're quite right. We are indeed moving in the right direction. It would be good to have a couple of socials this.year with a common sense approach applied and following current safety guidelines. With scotttish tourism set up open on 15 July I'd suggest many people may be otherwise focused to plan anything with the club in the coming weeks. However provided all remains steady state with the pandemic we could consider something in August September time.
