seat belt tension and baby seat

I'm having problems with the rear seat belts when fitting our new baby seat. The tension in the belt will often prevent wrapping the belt around the back of the seat, once the lap length of belt is fastened in the surefit base. It is intermittantly a problem as the girl in the shop and we have been able to fit the seat. Very frustrating! Any help would be appreciated. Do I need new belt tensioners??

I've just double-checked my rear seats and have found there are actually what look like isofix black square loops hiding there... Think I'll be best changing the surefix for and isofix base. Thanks for your help.

Yep, A2s have isofix as standard, on the rear seats at least. If you've got a keyed lock barrell in the glovebox for disabling the front passenger airbag you'll also have it on the front seat.

Isofix

I currently have two forward facing britax duo plus isofix seats fitted to the rear of my car, for my twins. In a few months time we will be having another addition to the family and I will fit my rear facing britax isofix to the rear. (My wife will have to go in the boot! ). They are easy to fit and I have had no problems to date. Remember to buy a seat protector to make sure the metal isofix clips don't damage your upholstery.
