After rain the passenger seat belt unreels soaking wet, have checked the floor pan front and back both bone dry
any ideas where this may be coming from and any possible solutions

Regards Alex

I suspect it's getting in from the roof then. It must be coming in straight down the B-pillar, getting onto and running down the seatbelt inside the panel trim. Surprised if that doesn't make its way down to the floor too. The top surface of the rear carpet might not be wet, but have you checked the underneath? You can get at it from the back by unhooking it from the rear seat mountings.

Hello, did you find the source of your wet seatbelt, only I have just discovered mine is the same after heavy rain last night, not noticed it before, yes I do have OSS.
Help anyone please

have not traced the problem yet, have you noticed if your floor pan front or back gets wet. It has not happened again yet and we had some heavy rain a couple of days ago but no wet seatbelt

Hi Alex
No nothing else seems wet, will investigate further in the sunshine tomorrow. Thanks for prompt reply

Maybe it is the camber of the parking area naturally draining water away to the opposite end/side of the roof in recent days and not causing a noticable problem as opposed to when the belt got wet, parked the other way round causing the opposite drainage behaviour.

Hi car is always parked on driveway reversed in with slope front to back, but good thought

Cheers Alex
Maybe got wet when parked away from home one day but enough of that theory.

Leaking OSS discussed earlier in the year, apologies if you have read it but worth reading if not.

The only sure way to cure the leak is a service trip to Kleynie, even more worthwhile if BSS.
