Service Offered: A2 OSS Sunroof Repair

Hi - the prices stated above are good value in my opinion and you will struggle to find anyone in the uk who will tackle this any cheaper . You need specialist knowledge to even attempt this and have a successful outcome ( the repairers are not known to me but have some happy customers already so it’s up to you to decide ultimately if you want a working roof)

Previously, the only person who could offer this service was charging £1500+, you will not find it cheaper anywhere else.

Yes

A”normal price” would be around treble or more than Kleynie is charging.

Nobody specialises in repairing the OSS roof.
That is why Ian and his son have taken the time, effort and expense to come up with an economical repair option.

I think it is just that, as you said , you don’t know what is wrong with yours and so you don’t realise the difficulty and cost of the repairs.

People have paid over £1,000 to have theirs repaired.

I am sure that when you are aware of what is involved you will realise that Kleynie is offering a fantastic option at a great price. You might then remove your “dig” at the guys who are only trying to help.

Kleynie - Hi would you be able to tell me if you can repair my sunroof, two years ago it was working perfectly, then one night I accidentally left it open, we had a torrential downpour, the next morning I was starting work at 6am, I had to sit on a carrier, and still had a very wet bottom by the time I got to work. That day was hot, so I left the car completely open to dry, all four doors, boot and sunroof, when I finished work at 4pm the interior was completely dry all but the rear foot wells, I went home and attacked the footwells with my VAX carpet cleaner, it sucked up almost two litres of water with the hand attachment. This all being very interesting after It closed absolutely fine that evening, when I went to open it again it got a little way and then just clicked, I took it to Audi and they greased it and got it shut

Can you repair it, I love my Audi a2 and its sunroof with all my heart, it is without a doubt the best car on the road (to me anyway)

I can't recommend Ian & Adam highly enough. My roof has been swapped out & now works perfectly. It is ridiculously fast & smooth.

If anyone is looking for a solution to their BOSS, get in touch with these guys, quick. The parts may not be around forever..

I finished the first sunroof tonight for Mr Birchall, so thought it'd be good to write an official advert for the service in which interest can be listed. So, here are the options:

1: Repair Only
By this, I mean that the roof will work as from factory, however, no new parts are included with the exception of the repair plates needed, these are £58 each and are included in the price of this service. If all goes to plan, this is one weekends work. The price for one repair only is £358 (if more parts are needed, you will be notified).

2: Full Refurbishment
This service is different to the repair as all runners and moving parts will be replaced, the total cost of the parts is around £450 and this is included in the price. The cost of this service, is £700.

3: OSS Service
As given away by the title, a simple service to keep the working roofs working. Includes panel re alignment if needed, re grease, blind cleaning and a check for any breaking pieces in the roof. afterwards I will notify you on whether all parts are factory original or if it has had parts replaced over it's lifetime. The roof does not have to come out for this and it can be done in a matter of around 2 hours. The price of one service is £80.

These repairs and services are OEM repairs with genuine Audi parts, using the repair method supplied by Audi.

There is significant differences to the frame structure between oss cars and none oss cars
Brackets would need to be tig welded in place
 
As depronman says, there are significant differences and the supports have to be stronger in order to hold the roof, however, I believe it has been done before, so not entirely impossible. Not something I would be willing to try to be honest.
 
Just noticed this thread...how i missed it i dont know.
If the big service goes well tomorrow and does not destroy my credit card I may be in touch, roof is sticking etc so thinks its a repair job not service.
