Service Offered: A2 OSS Sunroof Repair

An unavoidable increase from your side Adam. Do you know if Audi are increasing the price at their end due to limited parts or is it simply a case of unscrupulous inflation?

Perhaps Crewe Audi could offer a better rate, though you may already be buying from them and/or the pricing may be consistent across the board. Bulk buying may yield some discount possibly, so could be an option to explore.

Thanks for providing the well-regarded service that you do.
I wouldn't like to say why they are increasing the prices as I don't know, but I have always bought parts from @CreweAudi and the service has proven to be excellent and honest all round. I do however also believe that the refurb parts will be discontinued in the near future, so I may only be able to offer repairs after a certain amount of time.
The problem with bulk buying is that there are not enough people willing to spend such a high amount of money on an old car to make bulk ordering justifiable to me, I would have to put aside massive amounts of money and have no guarantee of getting it all back.

Totally understood Adam. My bulk buying suggestion probably wouldn’t work, but it was trying to help, not see you out of pocket. For example, wait for three members to commit to repair with firm deposits paid, then order times three at a discounted rate. I was in no way suggesting you bulk buy up front and hold stock at your expense. Finding multiple members to commit at the same time is unlikely I guess, so a suggestion without merit.

That's alright, it was a perfectly reasonable suggestion, sorry if I sounded rude, that's not how I meant to sound at all.

Hi,
Either the £418 option or the £860 option will fix it, it's down to personal preference and budget, the more expensive one does have the added benefit of all new parts, but again, your choice.

I see ok where is it that you are based?
Will.you be dropping my headlining? I heard they get damaged if taken down?

Hi all,

I finished the first sunroof tonight for Mr Birchall, so thought it'd be good to write an official advert for the service in which interest can be listed. So, here are the options:

1: Repair Only
By this, I mean that the roof will work as from factory, however, no new parts are included with the exception of the repair plates needed, these are £58 each and are included in the price of this service. If all goes to plan, this is one weekends work. The price for one repair only is £358 + £60 for fitting (if more parts are needed, you will be notified).

2: Full Refurbishment
This service is different to the repair as all runners and moving parts will be replaced, the total cost of the parts is around £570 and this is included in the price. The cost of this service, is £790 + £60 for fitting.

3: OSS Service
As given away by the title, a simple service to keep the working roofs working. Includes panel re alignment if needed, re grease, blind cleaning and a check for any breaking pieces in the roof. afterwards I will notify you on whether all parts are factory original or if it has had parts replaced over it's lifetime. The roof does not have to come out for this and it can be done in a matter of around 2 hours. The price of one service is £80.

These repairs and services are OEM repairs with genuine Audi parts, using the repair method supplied by Audi.

Hi, Please add me to the list. Thanks.

put me in the queue for the full renewal, will be able to leave the car with you. If you could do a reglue of the headlining i'd pay for the additional time. Thanks

Had my roof done yesterday

It's a full family effort from the welcome to the farewell

The roof was actually replaced in a short time frame however there was one very small innocuous click in the mechanism.
Which to @Kleynie credit did not meet his exacting standards.

It only took another hour to rectify and I was on my way.

Any future recipients should have no concerns about this very labour intensive service which in my opinion is great value

Are you heading up to Scotland in the foreseeable future? I'm sure a few guys up here would love that done including me :)

Forgive my ignorance if someone has already wrote the same thing ;)

Cheers
