Service Offered: CCCU Replacement

Hi what would be a rough turn around as I can send my ccu and wait on its return also does this issue cover any other ccu as I have an A6 with the same issue.

Think I read a note from timmus a month or two ago that due to other business pressures he was putting all A2 work on hold.
I am however fairly confident in saying he only ever offered the CCCU repair deal on A2 modules. He used to keep units in stock so in many cases rapid turn-around on all but the most rare units was possible.

Cheers Spike

Hi Daniel

If you can locate a replacement on eBay or similar and are popping up to Staines / Heathrow (or even a social?) in the near futire I can swap things over, as long as you get a matching CCCU of the same frequency (for the key fob operation) or buy the key fobs with it?

To be honest, if you do buy a CCCU and matching keys (secondhand of course) it is more or less a straight swap and I can guide you through the process.

Or Sarge may also be able to help and he is closer?

Hello all,

Sorry for my lack of participation in the forum of late. I've been immensely busy, working long days and weekends, meaning I've barely had time to check the forum and reply to PMs, let alone do any work on A2s.
Just to reassure everyone, I'm not going anywhere and will resume working on A2s later in the year. In the meantime, I'll try my best to meet as many urgent requests as I can. Please keep your requests coming as I've every intention of returning to providing my usual raft of services once this hectic phase has past.

Warm regards to all, and my sincere apologies to all those who've been waiting for a slice of my time for the last few months.

Tom

Hi Daniel,

Could you please send me a private message containing the symptoms you're experiencing? I'm currently working away from home and, as mentioned above, I've virtually no free time, but hopefully we can find a solution to your car's problems.
Unfortunately, I don't offer the service for any models other than the A2.

Cheers,

Tom

Hi Tom

I appreciate that this last message was 2 years ago, but just wondering if you are currently offering this service (in some shape or form).

Also, the specific symptoms that I am experiencing suggest that there might be some kind of battery in the CCCM. Is that right? The only problem that I am experiencing is with the remote control un-locking. Its fine when I lock (and unlock) the car straight after using it, but leave it for more than an hour or two and the remote won't unlock (I have changed the battery in the key).

Cheers

James

Hi James,

I've sent you a PM and have received your reply. Just for the benefit of others, this service is still running. :)

Cheers,

Tom

Hi could you message me please ? I would like more information but I can't find the private message option on your profile

glad to hear from you.
My CCU went bad some 3 years ago, and i replace it with a new one. As it was not the same code (letter K instead of the old letter H) many things aint working right. Like rear doors central locking, cabin light, etc... I explained all in this thread; https://www.a2oc.net/community/index.php?threads/ccu-problems-letter-h.38021/#post-334855
So, is there any chance to get the right CCU or service the old one?
How can I PM you. Is it via "start conversation" option in your avatar?

Tom, any news on this thread?

Afternoon,

Im sure Tom @timmus will be along at some point. I know he will be busy conducting social distant activities but should respond to you over the next day or 2.

To ensure he gets a notification of your post you can quote him by typing the ‘@‘ symbol followed by Timmus, as you type ‘Timm’ you will notice a pop up dialogue box showing you Forum Members, just Tap on Timmus. If you do this correctly he will get a notification that his user name has been mentioned and he can quickly jump to it.

To answer your earlier question regards PM, yes Start Conversation is a direct Private Message between the both of you.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Tom
