Service reset. Only says 9300 miles.

I've reset my service indicator according to the instructions in the manual, but it reset to 9300 miles instead of 10000 miles to next service.

Is this correct or have i done something wrong?

Pure speculation, but 15000 kilometres is 9321 miles,,,,,,maybe 15km is the european service interval??

Yes, according to Audi and VW, when it comes to service intervals, 10,000 miles = 15,000kms!
