Servo noises behind dash?

Hi, I've noticed little eletric motor noises coming from behind the dash on both passanger and driver sides. its really annoying and i think is coming from teh air vents. it does it when the climate control is on or off. Is this a "feature" or is it a problem with the climate control? or somethign else all together.

Noises are quite faint, but with the radio off, still audible.

I have exactly the same in my 1.6 FSi, settles down after 5 minutes or so from starting. So I would also be interested in the answer!
 
when you first get in and start the car, the outside air flap opens. It closes when the car is turned off to stop mice getting in.

Other than that: scan it. You probably have a flap issue somewhere; If up / face / floor and different combos work, then I would ignore. If they do not, you're going to need to replace a flap at some point.

I didn't know about the flaps closing on switch off!

I was advised to "Excercise" the air distribution flaps occasionally to prevent sticking parts. Most of the time my Climatronic is left on Auto... ?
