Should I go for it?

We never had the S-line edition in the UK, although we did have a similar Sport spec, but it didn't have the black headliner and half-leather/half-alcantara seats that the European one did. I'm not sure if that one has the black headliner and sunvisors either. I wonder if the German a2freun.de forum might be able to offer a more informed opinion.

The Sport seats in that yellow Storm are very interesting though - half-leather, but although the centre section is fabric, that's not alcantara, it's something else. And they're heated - the best of all worlds. I've never even seen a photo of a set like that before, let alone in real life. Might they be a retrim/retrofit or was there a European option for those?

If that's a TDI90, we have remaps up to around 125bhp for it in the UK, and although I've read no horror stories about that sort of power/torque trashing the drivetrain, maybe that's because no-one's had one in for long enough yet. But at that mileage, before you even think about remapping it, the clutch and DMF will want changing if not already done, you'd probably want to see evidence of a new turbo too.

Yep this is Tdi 90 engine. Do you know if Mallet makes turbos for it? New Garret would be too expensive... Tnx for the reply!

It looks more Storm than anything else...……...arches, mirrors, roof and rubbing strips in matt black, later spec grille but as we know no problem to paint bits.
Ask them for the spec codes from the boot sticker then decode them to get the spec/extras fitted, obviously the paint codes will give the original paint scheme. Of course specs in Europe differ from the UK but Audi codes are the same across all geographic regions but will tell you the model.

Thanks guys... I am going to go see it in person... If ai buy it, i'll be painting the arches and bumpers yellow :)

That looks like an S-Line Plus spec. (Black headliner, Leather/Cloth seats, steering wheel+shift knob in perforated leather, grey instead of aluminium dials and possibly more things I can't remember right now) The only thing that irks me is that the shift knob might not have the perforation on this one.
For german cars at least, combining S-Line with Colour.Storm trim was entirely possible.

There is also at least one more S-Line Plus with these seats (also heated) for sale in germany, so I expect that was a factory option as well.

This is factory spec. Agreed, it should have a perforated gearstick knob and it's not.

Agreed on the S-line plus spec. The seats are "speed" fabric and leather. The whole thing was definitively availble like that from factory, at that time period, too. Price is pretty good, but then it's outside the EU so most of us get to pay another 10%. This is a very rare car as it is; there are few yellow and even fewer S-Line Plus, never mind storm and s-line plus. Might even be unique.

I must add, that A2 looks absolutely stunning

Why oh why don’t Audi see that they could bring the A2 out of moth balls and do a minor amount of updating and they would sell like hot cakes

At that resolution, it's possible the gearknob is perforated and hasn't been resolved in fine detail. On at least one of the shots it has a pixelated effect that wouldn't seem consistent with smooth leather.

Just something to consider.

Disagree. The difference is significant. Textures are resolvable, the reflection off of the shiny leather is consistent. Doesn't explain the 'why?', though, as a gear knob change isn't completely trivial.

Let us all know how you get on. It does look good - maybe the bonnet slats would look good in black as well, I've done that on my silver A2. Were the black wheels available as an option?
