This photo shows so well how ride height makes such a difference to the perception of alloy wheel size. Both on 17’s but the silver one on higher than standard springs and the blue one on very very low coilovers.

I remember Steve going for a longer spiden spring in the quest for comfort. But that was a few years ago so I may be recalling it wrong.

All great photographs. One thing that always remains true, regardless of event, the A2 continues to defy its age and classic roots due to its timeless lines. It’ll be the same for many years to come. Closest it gets is the occasional light musty smell, age defined, something I relish from a nostalgic perspective.

After watching a tip on wheeler dealers the other night I halved an onion and placed each section in the front footwells overnight. It cleared the musty smell you describe. Evidently it's an old dealer trick to rid the interior of unwanted smells.

What a wonderful day - thank you Ian @Proghound for organising despite being so humble to say the event organisers did everything. Echoing @Cenick - apologies for not much socialising on my end too, we barely managed to go through the Motor Museum, the Abbey and the rest of the cars!

I don’t think we’d win any prizes with those! The sun was so bright it was hard to see what we were actually taking pictures of from the car.
