As some of you already know, I have a pretty important time coming up with my 'day-job' (Coronation Street), so from tomorrow until next weekend (11th December), I'll be unable to reply quickly, if at all, to PMs and emails.

Also, from next Monday to Thursday inclusive, I'll not have my mobile phone (all mobiles are being collected as we enter for work for security reasons), so I'll not be able to answer texts or calls either.

Something like normal service will be resumed the week after next hopefully.

Thanks chaps - you'll all be able to see the fruits of my labours live on Thursday evening, when the special hour-long live episode is transmitted (between 8 and 9pm).

Yes, it is all going to be live, including some live CGI effects - absolutely nothing will be pre-recorded and played in. We're all rigging and rehearsing like crazy - 57 scenes in around 50 minutes of program (an hour minus advert breaks).

I'll resist temptation to give you all a wave though!

It'd be nice if Mike wore an A2OC T-shirt, and I'm guessing there are no rules against it, but as a sound engineer his job is to keep out of the picture! :p
 
I could wear a T-shirt, but in this weather I need all the warmth and waterproofing going.

At the mo, I'm in an Icebreaker base layer, down jacket and Gore Pro Shell!

have not watched corrie in ages but i think i might look out for this one ...

You would have no problem blending in with the locals , what a great character you would
make but i dont think Kevin Webster would be too happy you working on his patch ....LOL !!!!:D
 
Good luck, if the Eastenders live show is anything to go by it is a lot of hard work for the crew. But with you there I am sure it will not have any of the mistakes they had!:D
 
Well Mike I don't normally watch corrie.

But i watched the one hour live special and it was very good.
You did a great job there. Very impresed I hope you have a nice relaxing weekend to get over it:)

Am pleased to say that Mike was back in his 'other' job today and giving my A2 his expert once-over!

It really goes without saying that I would heartily recommend other owners who live within any reasonable distance to take advantage of the services of Skipton's Autos...it is just another big bonus of owning one of these great cars that we have his care and expertise to draw upon (...provided he's not too busy off filming some little tv show or other!?)
