Sky Roof Help Needed Desperatly

Hi there i have noticed a bangiing noise when i have tried to open the sky roof a couple of times.It happens when its gets to the second section of glass just before it starts moving.Now my dilema the roof opens to that point but wont go any further without a helping hand:( .It gets to just before the second second second of glass is about to rise up and start moving back and just stops.I have sprayed wd40 on the runners but to no avail.It will go back but only with force and you have to get out of the car to do it:mad: .So please can somebody help me the sun is shinning like a summers day and am gutted.Thanks in advance.
 
try lubricating the rubbers on which the glass roof sits this will do the trick. They tend to dry out and cause the glass to stick. Silicon spray is good for this by#ut you can use 3 in 1 oil lightly applied to the rubbers if you dont have silicon.
 
hi adam - same thing happened to mine, took it into dealer, it is due to lack of use (british weather!) and they did the old lubrication and spent 30 mins running it back and forward to really grease it up. Works, nothing to worry about.
