Smokey exhaust

hello again,
i invite members comments on my latest item of concern...
I think my exhaust is really smokey especially when under load a little off the torque delivery. How can i check it at home ? i have a b7 model A4 tdi with similar miles and 6 months younger and it is not even noticeable.

you could take it to your mot station and ask them to do a emission test for you as it is a 04 reg it will be up for mot soon any way
