Social at Saltaire, West Yorkshire Sunday 22 May 2016

Really hope the weather forecast is as wrong again as it has been much if the past 2 weeks in this part of the world and the sun shines once again in Gods own county....... Had the A2 mini valeted on Tuesday morning on the way to work so looking forward to putting faces to all the names on here!

Mike welcome to lovely and sociable Yorkshire! Do you have firm plans for tomorrow or are you looking for ideas? if you want any local tourist advice then just ask. As the saying goes: "You can always tell a Yorkshireman, but you can't tell him much!".

Just a note to wish everyone well for tomorrow.

I sincerely hope that the weather is kind for you and that you all have a fantastic day (and evening meal for those that are going).

Safe journey to all; whether local or travelling the distance.

Regards,

Darren

I'm afraid I'm not going to make it today, I tried my level best to get the car ready (new sparks, oil, filter, air filter, shocks fitted and brand new alternator - interior clean and good hoover) and I thought it was but this morning I got 2 miles down the road before I lost all power and the EML and EPC came on, had this same issue before and it was believed fixed with new coils/sparks/battery but obviously not, so had to admit defeat and turn around, it is a big trip to get stranded on. I hope you all have a cracking day and look forward to the photos.

Good to see so many A2's together today and put faces to all the names on the forum! Hope those who are on their first visit to the area are pleasantly surprised at what Yorkshire and it's dark satanic mills actually has to offer. Saltaire was a regular haunt of mine when I lived just over t'hill in Otley and in my younger days when I lived in Thornton (which for those who have been to Haworth is where the Bronte sisters were born). Sorry I had to leave early for another appointment in Huddersfield however hope everyone enjoyed the day. Thanks to everyone involved with organising it, and especially the weather! Perhaps we can have another Yorkshire meet next year?

Great to see so many people today. It was brilliant to put a face to some names I have known for a long time and catch up with some of the people that make our forum such a vibrant and friendly place. Some snap shots taken on my point and shoot:
