Social at Saltaire, West Yorkshire Sunday 22 May 2016

Glad it stayed dry for you all.

Dave (Special Edition) the shine on yours is incredible!!

Mike (A2sumo) are those brake calipers poking through your back wheels? Didn't realise you'd had the rear disc conversion done!

Hi finally home and I'm glad i left early as on the way home with 102 miles to go i popped a lower boost pipe of so had no boost -limped home and ran to the front door for the loo :D
Thanks to Hilary, conrad, ian and dave for doing the organising of this social--very novel attending a social i had no involvement. I hope you fancy doing it again? i wished we had gone for the drive out to the pub but with such a drive home we had to draw the line. Great to see some of our "northern" group and hope to see you at other socials. We were blessed with good weather that always makes the days out far better. Photos look great and thanks for sharing them.
Cheers all for making it a great day out. mike and vonnie

Thanks to everyone who made the trip up North (ie past Derby), it was a big drive for you all. I was chatting with Hilary and Ian when they dropped CC2 (the black one) back at mine and I think next time we will aim for a meet up, drive and then a good lunch rather than evening meal. That way folk can eat an those that have long journeys can head off. Glad you made it home Mike!

Many thanks to Hilary, Murdo and others for inviting me
Really well organised too Hilary...Congratulations
Thanks for making me so welcome
Despite not owning an A2, I felt part of the Club..Thank you all
I also hope to see some of you in the near future for some paintwork TLC!!

Best Regards
Chris

Thanks Hilary, Ian and Conrad for a great day out, it's always nice to see new faces to the names and some different A2's!
My better half Carole was really chuffed that everyone made her feel welcome even though she hasn't her own A2!, but that's what's so good about this friendly club, no snobbery, Top Stuff from all concerned, look forward to the next time.
Finally arrived home at 8.45 through torrential rain, with a headlight blown and intermittent tail light too, don't you just love our old cars haha!
Cheers Jeff

I just want say a huge thank you from us three to everyone who put on a fantastic day.

I wasn't able to mingle very much as it's difficult keeping the family happy talking cars in the car park so we had a lovely time exploring Saltaire and Salts Mill.

Also a big thank you from Oscar for being allowed to sit in some lovely A2's other than Daddy's!

We will definitely be attending more socials in the future. See you all again soon.

Really enjoyed the day, particularly the scenic drive and the surprised expressions on drivers and pedestrians as they caught sight of our impressive line-up!

Thank you to everyone for making this a fantastic event and driving long distances to be with us in Yorkshire.

It was a pleasure to organise the social with chb and Special edition and I'd love to arrange one again next year.

Lovely photos capturing a great day.

Shame to remove my car card from the windscreen last night!

Thank you to the organisers. I really enjoyed what was my first A2 (or any other car) gathering.

It was lovely to meet up with the other owners and their partners.

Thanks to Tom and Robin for diagnosing the fault with my OpenSky mk2: I emailed Worthing Audi on Monday and they want to fit a replacement roof!

All the best, Andrew

I know this is resurrecting an old thread however there were some fine photos of my car (red AT02TWO) I now cannot see. Can anyone make them appear or live again?!
