Morning All

Would anyone in the South Wales area be kind enough to perform a VCDS scan for me please?

Got in the car yesterday to find ABS & traction control lights, as well as a power steering fault and no speedo.

Hoping most of these point to an ABS sensor but could really do with a scan.

Cheers
Drew

It's best if you start here

Problem seemingly sorted!

Having trawled the various posts for others with similar issues it turns out fuses 38 and 40 had blown. Replaced these and no more lights.

Fingers crossed

Thing is: why did they blow?

Just saying......

Best of luck.

i was fiddling with the asr button as it wasn't making the satisfying click when pressed.
i took the housing apart and reassembled it. i think i seated it wrong as it wouldn't fit properly then it went in.

not saying that was the cause but it was the last thing i did before the dashboard disco came on a day later

Hi,

if you haven't checked it, there is a known issue where a sharp weld in the body can cause damage to the wiring and short out the main power to the power steering. This causes the fuse to blow and loss of power assist etc.

See this thread for more details:
