Some Dash lights not working

Hi, I can't figure this one out, but my recently purchased a2 tdi, has no red glow on the heater Vent controls or radio, but all the rest light up, and the radio (concert CD) works. I did read something on here about the radio may not light up if it's the incorrect one, but It can't be that all the vent lights have gone at the same time.

All other switches, headlight switch, climate, windows, overhead switches, ASR and cigar lighter all light up, just the vents and radio lights not working!

Any Ideas?

The vent controls do not light up! There is a Eurpoean member who has modded his thumbwheels to make them illuminated, but as standard, they are unlit I'm afraid.

You could install comfort lighting, as I have done, which gives a lovely red glow to the cabin at night and eases eye strain on long night journeys, making all the controls visible whilst maintaining your night vision.

Cheers,

Mike

PS, You are probably right about it not being the right radio.

Yep, that's the chappie - the only one I know of with illuminated vents! I've seen the way he did it and it's really not worth the effort in my opinion (some people may say the same about some of my mods!).

Cheers,

Mike

I have it too.
He did his using SMD LEDs ... they're tiny and really difficult to deal with. I'll need to re-do mine shortly, as the connectors are no longer stable (I've had things apart too much) - and this time, I'll use 3mm LEDs.

Oh, and before anyone else gets ideas, the wheel tiptronics are another box of tricks from the user with some help via the forum.
