Some panel scraping the floor

Hi, I was driving slowly over a speed bump the other day with a girl in the passenger seat and another in the back (she's not a big girl before you ask) and i heard a scrap from the rear passenger side of the car. When i got home i had a look and it looks like there is a panel protecting something and it seems to have either rusted or tore off around one of the bolts and was flapping down and was about 3 inches off the ground. I panel is quite bendy so i bend it back so its not scrapping the floor but its not 100% secure. Any ideas what this panel is? Where i can get one? And if i can change it myself or do i have to take it to a garage?

Thanks for your time

Yes, its a 1.4 TDi 75BHP. Is the panel easy to get? Expensive? Easy to change? Or should i just get it done at the audi garage?

Thanks

Save yourself money and don't get Audi to repair this. The part is the exhaust heat shield on the fuel filter. Chances are the heat shield has probably been knocked a couple of times. Noticed my wife's A2 has a rattle in exactly the same place. I replaced the fuel filter a few thousand miles ago and noticed there was a problem. Think one of the bolt heads had sheared off.

If repairing yourself, then chock the front wheel and leave the car in gear. Jack the car up and get an axle stand in there too for added safety.;)
