Morning all,
after replacing the front suspension, springs, dampers etc. I decided to fix the leaking fuel pump and change the thermostat. I did take my time so the rear brake had seized up when trying to move the car. Luckily the big persuader helped and I managed a quick run around to block and thermostat and suspension all seem fine but There was a little drip, coolant! I noticed that the heating hoses going to and from the heater matrix were a bit swollen where the fuel had dripped on them and it looks that these need replacing. Anbody got those 2 hoses and tips how to remove them, do I need to remove the wiper and it,s surroundings? Btw it is an 1,4 tdi which I keep as a second car and slowly replace all worn parts. Next: rear suspension and rear brakes but it needs MOT soon so hoses firts. Cheers Jorrit
