Soul black roof furniture.. how to achieve the look

Thanks for your friendly responses! Well, I do have a contrast myself with the interior! (and it's a pretty strong one, too.) The interior is mainly platinum, but the seats and many other parts are in blue leather. But no BLACK anywhere! (just the Air-con and RNS-E)

When I bought my VW up! one of the options available was the addition of black roof lining, trim and dark rear privacy glass. I ticked this and with the addition of the yellow paintwork, which is visible inside the car too, it looks very tasteful IMHO. It also looks much better than the standard lighter plastics used - more premium if you will.

VW up! - only the A pillars visible, but indicates my point.

That said, in the A2 I am one of the biggest fans of the split trimmed dash and lighter plastics, which make the cabin feel airy and modern, again IMHO.

My A2.

The upshot is, aside of personal preference, I think it can also be car dependent and body colour too. The split trim I adore in the A2 might well look out of place in a white A2 for example, but on my Cobalt Blue, is the perfect partner.

It's hard to understand why anyone would want an interior to be black or dark? I've made mine as light and as "airy" as I can .... I've even changed the dash for the light grey colour. "Timmus" (Tom) tells me it is unique to have that colour dash with my body colour. I have just looked at a 1963 Ford Cortina in white leather where even the dash was white! No, black is dark, grim and depressing, I.M.H.O. Let the light in and LIVE!

My daughter=muddy boots & sticky hands. Getting dark grey leather seats was a necessity and the platinum trim that she can reach is steadily being colour coded brown! I can see why dark is desired on those grounds.

Saw this in the flesh a couple of weeks ago and it does look smart. Much more in line with the more modern interiors of the current Audi line up.
I've a spare opensky headlining but no time to do this

But the visors from the A4 do (with some fettling) so in keeping I will be replacing those with black leather ones (when they arrive) still audi albeit not standard..

Morning Boxy,

Can you recall what year Audi A4 the sun visors come from. Could you also detail the fettling you had to do to get them to fit.

This is a job I’m looking to do before Christmas. I’ve done headlinings in Jag XJS and Saab 900 before so hopefully won’t have to much trouble.

Kind regards,

Tom

The visors appear to be from a 2011 A3, please be aware they don't fit 100% perfectly as they foul the moulded area around the interior light this effects their ability to be orientated againsst the screen to block out sun light.
