Source of parts

Hi All

I'm looking for online service parts. The car has 150k + so I'm not fussed about Audi as a source.

Good quality at a reasonable price. Anyone I should avoid?

This is what I need.

Service Items
Oil filter
Fuel filter
Air filter
Pollen filter
All the bits to do the cam belt.

PS What bits do I need to get for the cam belt.

Thank you.

eBay is the answer - search the Audi part numbers (available via 7Zap) and then filter by decent brands - by which I generally mean German and well-known for good quality - then sort by lowest price.

The exception is electrical sensors and thermostats for the diesel - I would never stray from OE for those. Drive belts I would go for Gates. Get the complete kit including tensioner and water pump as a precaution.

Assuming you have a diesel then the oil pump chain and tensioner (plus visual inspection of their sprockets at least) is due at that mileage, you should consider doing this while it’s all apart.

You won’t go wrong this way

I use Euro Car Parts with the latest discount code. These are the manufacturers I would stick to (all available on ECP:

Oil filter - Bosch or Mann
Fuel filter - Bosch or Mann
Air filter - Bosch or Mann
Pollen filter - Bosch or Mann
Cam belt - Gates or SKF

Make sure you change the water pump whilst doing the cam belt (as said above)

Euro only mail order and usually cheaper than euros especially mid week when the "discount" tends to increase from 17 to 20%

Check out gsf too, great for track rod ends lol
