Thanks all for the attendence and putting on a great display for the show visitors.
I will pass on your thanks to the show committee when we meet on next monday for a post-show briefing. I'm glad that everyone had a good time. It was a very enjoyable and satisfying day for myself and family, and the club displays (the area I manage and sort out) ran smoothly throughout the day (apart from one well known Audi club - who won't be coming next year, long story, they were taking the piss for the third year running on numbers and rules, and then giving me grief when I challenged them - not family friendly at all!) Apart from that it was great! The only problem was I didn't manage to get out and take any photos
However, here's a few that I managed to take before the proper show started

Agreed @sciroccorrado it was a great show.
Although as discussed with you during the show, we could have done with a bigger space so that the gazebo could have gone up for a bit of shade and had all the cars come we wouldn’t of got them all in. Looking forward to next years

Unfortunately it is not the first time I have had grief from this club, like I say it's the third year they've behaved in such a way, last year their chairman came to apologise a bit later on so I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, but this year there was no such apology, and I later learnt that one of the members told my wife to "p*** off" when she was letting them in through the gate - the best quote (from the chairman) was that "we've been coming to this show for years, and people come from miles around to see our cars, what are you going to do if we stop coming" I replied that there were about 15 clubs who couldn't get tickets ready to fill the place immediately ... so, no names, but that's their loss...
I'd like to add my thanks to all for such an amazing day. The venue was great, the turnout of vehicles second to none and the event organisation to be applauded. Thanks to Jeremy for arranging the pitch; hopefully next year we can have a slightly larger area to accommodate both cars and seating. I say next year, as I can see this excellent show being a regular within the social calendar, it really was that good. The amount of classic VWs in one place was a sight to behold; I think all the Campers in the UK turned out. Those presenting were amongst the friendliest of any show I have ever attended; enthusiasts who were willing to engage and talk through their pride and joys.
Thanks also to legends of the social scene Mike and Vonnie for organising things, looking after folk and making the day flow for all with ease. The evening dinner and drinks made for an all round great day. A special thanks to young Sarge for providing excellent company as we took a wander to take some pictures and to Nasra for the wonderful food; a legend of the kitchen.
Great to see new faces amongst the regulars; only sorry that I didn't get to speak to everyone in person.
