I met Steph's lovely long term friends Richard and Ian this morning. We have tucked Steph's A2 and a range of bits and pieces safely in my rented garage for now whilst they deal with probate.

Ah, yes. To be clear, it's only because there is only on street parking available at Steph's address and it would be illegal to keep it there once the tax runs out at the end of the month.
It's a very complex situation as Richard mentioned in his first thread - Steph left very little information about his affairs and as he had no family/next of kin they have lots of unraveling to do which is going to take some time.
I have given them my spare key to the garage so they can access it if they need it for assessment .
