Stolen A2 Part 2

Thank you for everyone who had helped me on the last thread (My Stolen A2) and suggested avenues for helping me find my car (first time experience this and sadly the suggestions presented no leads). I hope this doesn't happen to you guys in the future. Just asking to keep an eye out for SR04 FYZ, 1.4TDi, Dolphin Grey with around 103k miles if you so happen come across. Doubt you will because thieves are clever. However, If there is a lead just bump me an email

Merry Christmas A2oc

Sadly I feel you may be a major part of your own downfall with the car...…...…..Leaving an un Mot'd and taxed car on the road for a few weeks if not months will only draw attention of the "We buy scrap cars" types (let alone the local council and neighbours)…….....it only needs one of these to pass by regularly and note your car not moving and it wont be long before they'll be doing online checks of the cars MOT and tax status......
Sadly I feel the car has probably either gone for scrap or will end up being broken for spares by a more enterprising scrap car person...…...who would question someone waving some pieces of paper saying they were removing the car for the council except the owner of course.
A few phone calls to the local scrap yards may help or a post on their facebook pages about your car being stolen may get some response but I wouldn't live in too much hope.

Have you tried posting this to Pistonheads? It is more in line with the Speed, Plod & the Law threads there, and as there seem to be a lot of folk in London on there this may also give you a bit more local coverage. As Murdo said earlier, this isn't really an A2oc sort of thread - collectively we sympathise with the car going missing but there will also be an element of face-palming because leaving a car on the street that doesn't have various bits of paperwork valid in a city like London is asking for trouble in this day and age, sadly. Best of luck with possible recovery.
