Such a shame

Hi guys. The little red and black led on my radio is all scrambled and doesn't display correctly. Such a shame as the buttons have no wear at all and everything works perfectly..
Anything I can do or is it change the stereo for another original.
Thank you in advance.

Replace the front panel from another. But what I would do is remove the stereo from the car and remove the existing front panel from it. Refit the front panel and see if the display returns, if not you will need to swap the display front panel from another radio of the same type. I am assuming it is a single DIN type radio but would have thought the double DINs are the same.

Seconded and its VERY easy, my original radio had the volume issue, but a good screen so I bought one with no volume issues and a wonky screen. It took a few minutes to swap them over, I think I was on a work call at the time it was that easy.

Do you mean take a front panel off of another radio. Is that easy to do. I would of thought it was lots of solder and wires to undo which is way beyond my capabilities.

No the front panels are only held on with a few small screws from the rear. There is a multi pin socket that connects the front panel to the rest of the radio. Certainly on the Concert 2 radios it is that simple.

Yes took the front panel off another unit. No soldering just a few screws and a simple connector, I even found a photo of it.

As your buttons are good remove the board from the replacement front panel and fix that to your fascia with its good buttons, then refit to the radio.

If you have an early car make sure you have the code for the radio before you disconnect it from the car as you will need it when you reconnect the radio. Later cars you do not need the code provided the same radio is reconnected.

Which radio is fitted currently in the car?

The outcome you require is quite simple, if you are not confident read my thread..

It's the concert single din with cassette slot.
