Seems like a well balanced article to me. Makes a change from the usual anti-A2 articles I read.

2004 1.4 TDi (90) SE, Cobalt Blue, Climate control, Cruise control, DIS, Sport seats, Winter pack, Symphony II.

Is what they said about possible price reductions true? I fancied a new A2 in the spring and a £2000 discount would go down well.

1.4 Tdi SE Colbalt Blue metallic, blue matrix and grey interior. Yappy dog in back, Zena warrior princess in passenger seat

When I ordered my A2 last June I got approximately a £2k discount, but that was hard work. I guess now the only difference is that the salesman will be more forthcoming with offering the discount.

We just ordered one
black, climate ,cd(special edition), black leather, dis ,1.4 TDi(75)
all in delivered £14.500.
I thought this was pretty good.

That seems like a great deal Andy to me especially considering
what it would have cost a year or so ago

I am curious why the 1.6 petrol was removed but more so for the 90 PS TDi.

My guess is unless you a A2 nut who is aware of whats going on then it might have been avove peoples heads.

I am temted to change my car for one of the demo 90ps cars if can get a good deal

regards

Antony

I can really recommend the 90PS. It not only sounds good for a diesel, but has loads of torque, making it quite a nippy car.

I asked the dealer if the 90 was still available and he told me it was.I only questioned it as there is now no mention on the website.
The website also says when you spec leather you must have a leather wheel at an extra £205(cheapest), but the dealer made no mention of this. I wish companys could get both working together , this always seems to be the case.

Probably got a load of unsold 90PS models parked away in some field.
On Autotrader 2004 demo models are listed starting at £12,450 which probably means could get one for £12,000 or even less at a push.

Of course my A2 trade in would fetch much less now so...

Have not seen many red i's TDi cars around my neck of the woods, could count them on one hand

Andy,

If you don't mind me asking what would list price be on that spec? 16K-ish? Which dealer or was it a broker?

Getting towards an order maybe so trying to figure out what kind of deal can be struck.

Thanks, Richard

Stratford-upon-Avon Audi were happy to match my quote off www.drivethedeal.com if that's any help.

Shrewsbury Audi.
He did quote me retail price rather than OTR , so
in the end I payed only another £130 rather than the £700
extra it would of been. If your interested give them a bell and ask for Dan in sales, he's a nice chap.I think I saved around £2000. I didnt have to haggle either .The cd and climate was part of a deal they were doing for no extra cost.
cheers
