Sundays Social - Final Arrangements

Skipton01

Admin Team
Well, here as promised are the final arrangements for the forthcoming social, or perhaps the inaugural meeting of the A2O3C (the A2 Owners Club Curry Club)!

We will assemble at 11.30am on Rowley Road (map attached) in single file, near the layby (it's not big enough for us all).

At midday, we will then travel in convoy the short distance to the Museum, where we will have a tour of the many historic aircraft there, and hopefully get the chance to have our A2 squadron photographed by the Avro Vulcan.

From there, we will travel to Sonar Goan, a highly recommended Indian restaurant, where I have made a group booking for 15 people (provisionally - we may have the whole place to ourselves). The restaurant opens at 5.30pm on Sundays, so there may be a chance to have a chat/compare cars and mods whilst we wait for the restaurant to open its doors to us. There is plenty of parking outside Sonar Goan, so there should be no problems on that front.

After we have all had our fill and talked A2 till we're all blue in the face (!), we should be able to get away in plenty of time for a quiet journey back to our respective corners of the country, having had a (hopefully) grand day out!

Cheers,

Mike

PS Any problems, please PM me, or contact me direct at Mike at gothic.plus.com (obviously, replace the at).

Due to popularity, I have now increased the booking to 20 places and we may yet have more to come!

The restaurant holds 50, so we're well on the way to a private function. I've been promised a few bottles of wine on the house for us all, which is good of them.

See you Sunday,

Cheers,

Mike

Is there room for one more? Trouble is, I can't definitely say I'll be there - for me it's a 60/40 against going, but there is the possibility I can make it.

A bit vague, apologies.

If you can make it, great - if not no worries.

Cheers,

Mike

I was cheered up today to see the BBC's proposed forecast for Sunday - a heavy mass of rain sat over the Midlands on Sunday. That'll be some nice sunshine then...

Hopefully the weather will be fine tomorrow as I plan to give my A2 a propor clean tomorrow (between repairs and servicing I haven't had a chamois anywhere near him for about 10 weeks!)

I have checked with the BBC forecast for tomorrow and Coventry now shows a nice picture of sunshine across the area.:D

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Chris,

10 weeks, tut, tut...;) (Good job he's aluminium & plastic for the most part - LOL!!)
