I can comment on the b4 shocks and b3 springs super dooper have that set up on both our tdi a2s but b4 and H&R ? ..In my personal experience with H and R springs it’s a very firm ride I personally I’m not a fan I’ve had them on a couple of my toys in the past 911s in particular bone jarring ? if you live in the sticks will not do your crowns any good if you have them ..you will be back to your orthodontics specialist on a regular basis ?..if your a towny on A roads on the other hand wonderful track oriented set up ..?After much surfing, I'm thinking bilstein b4s all round, and H & R springs, has anyone tried this combination, I'd be very interested to here.
Sorry, new to this, not sure I no how toH&R were known to be wooden, I think @A2Steve had them at one point and wasn't impressed. KW have some with a reasonable drop, as do FK.
What wheel / tyre combo? What priorities? What have you got now and what have you tested?
Can a mod also please move this to the correct subforum?
I've moved it Mugfush...no worries ?
So @mugfish - what are your priorities? Looks vs handling vs com
I'd like to achieve a bit of all those. I'm thinking bilstein b4 with springs that lower the car about 30 to 40 mm
Have you any pictures of your car, so I can see the dropI can comment on the b4 shocks and b3 springs super dooper have that set up on both our tdi a2s but b4 and H&R ? ..In my personal experience with H and R springs it’s a very firm ride I personally I’m not a fan I’ve had them on a couple of my toys in the past 911s in particular bone jarring ? if you live in the sticks will not do your crowns any good if you have them ..you will be back to your orthodontics specialist on a regular basis ?..if your a towny on A roads on the other hand wonderful track oriented set up ..?

I can confirm that the H&R springs are VERY firm indeed. I have A2Steve’s car with these on and I am changing them for standard B4 Bilstein shocks all round and OEM monroe springs.H&R were known to be wooden, I think @A2Steve had them at one point and wasn't impressed. KW have some with a reasonable drop, as do FK.

Hi
Sorry, I had my B6 and B8 mixed up. You are correct of course.
I opted for the B4 because I am looking for comfort, the B6 is a sport version (but not an all-out sport one.). I wanted to make sure I felt the improvement in comfort. The B6 is probably fine but I was worried that I wouldn’tfeel a marked improvement so I “wimped out” and went B4.
They are being fitted in the next few days and I will let you know how it feels compared to the current set up.
