Whilst driving to @Clackers this morning, I noticed the fuel guage dropped slowly from full to about 50% over 20mins or so. Massive fuel leak or guage error?
No sign of leak so guage error?
It recovered to the correct level over the next 20 mins. I am a bit confused .com

Sticky sender? The 1.2 did something similar to me when I first bought it. Two full to empties and it never happened again. Just keep an eye and use the trip to sense check I guess 🤷

Yes you are probably right athough with the state of the roads at the moment I would have thought that the jarring it gets would free it up!

Could be worth taking the sender unit out of the fuel tank (pretty easy to access) for a clean. I got a load of black fluff out of mine on the plastic mesh and around the sender. Years of accumulated bits that had slipped down the filler tube and ended up there I assume.
