TDI 90 Cutting Out and Occasional starting issue

Afternoon everyone.

Recently my TDI 90 has developed an issue, firstly i had the injector seals changed two Months ago due to occasional starting issue taking a long time of turning over the engine to start. This cured the problem for two weeks, then the problem returned. Now i have the starting problem which is occasional but also it is now cutting out as you slow to approach junctions.

I have read the forums on this but each forum the issue is slightly different from mine, but from these i have established either camshaft or crankshaft speed sensor,

Is there anything else i should be considering? has anyone had a TDI 90 with the same problem as me?

Thanks in advance

Spence,

I had exactly that problem and successfully replaced the camshaft sensor. As with many of these sensors getting a quality part is vital, I used Febi.

Andy,

Thank you, that's the route I am going to take.

Appreciate this 👍 :D🤞

Does sound like cam shaft sensor which is up under the casing for the timing belt on the left side of the head. Follow the corrugated wire tube across the head under the glow plugs from right to left.
