Evening all!

Looking for good advice for parts and method for replacing the tdi flexi front exhaust.

Found this on autodoc, any other experiences of other parts and methods? I see some threads and it would seem I need a pro to cut out and then weld flexi back in place. Is the flexi the same for all tdi bar the 1.2?

Hey, check out HJS Exhaust flex pipe in the AUTODOC app https://m.autodoc.co.uk/hjs/7617947

Evening,

Due to space it is quite tricky to do. If you have the time and tools take it off at the manifold and cat. For what it’s worth I used a local exhaust place to me and it was around £100,

Hi, okay I'll take this advice from your experience, does look a little tight and indeed a ramp job! Glad to hear it won't be one of those rare parts and delicate jobs that you can either only do yourself or entrust to a recommended specialist.

I did my own back in 2018 the part cost be £25 plus £5 for a 50mm pipe jointer and two clamps
I did it on the garage floor with tall ramps but would be much easier on a ramp
You need a good mig welder. Don’t even think about clamping the flexi in place as there is not the room near the turbo

My thread on doing this is on here somewhere

Hi Paul, I've read your thread now thank you. Yes I'll definitely leave it to a pro recommended exhaust man or woman in southwest. Thanks for your thread info.
