TDI Rocker Cover retighten

Do not just retorque the bolts. Remove the cover and check the surfaces carefully for scoring and flatness and state of the gasket. If OK then perform the fitment as per the manual, using the sealant only where mentioned.

Surfaces have to be spotless before you try to refit the gasket and cover.

Hi, do you have details of where the sealant needs to be apllied?

Forgot to update this one, so it was not fitted right and the blue hymol wasn’t used. New garage fitted correctly and oil now stopped leaking from gasket. However I still have oil from egr and inlet pipe seals and also turbo pipes, so they’re next!

And if anyone ever finds that theirs is damaged, I have a TDI rocker cover on the shelf.
