TDI90 erratic electrics - now Fixed!

Hello everyone, I'm pleased to say the electical problems I was having on my TDI90 have now been resolved.

All of the issue's from the start up problems and erratic electrics to the cutting out problems, and the issue with reverse selection cutting out the car, were all caused by a faulty ignition switch - visually it was okay but obviously something internally had broken or deteriorated causing significant problems.

I can't take credit for the fix because I had ran out of time to mess around with the car anymore. Once I'd finally managed to get it started again I took it to the nice chaps at WOM to sort out for me and also look at a few other things for me - they know the car and have done a few jobs on it before including the turbo, so I was pretty confident they'd get the problems sorted pretty swiftly, I can't rate them highly enough.

Thanks for all the advice and suggestions from members to help me get back on the road, much appreciated. ?

Kennedy.

Not sure if it applies here but I've read that having a bunch of keys or anything heavy, dangling off the ignition key fob really accelerates wear of the ignition switch barrel.
