Temp Guage...

The trusty A2 has thrown a few niggles recently, the latest being a temp guage that very rarely registers anything. I have 2 things to ask...

1) Is there anything that I can do to get it going before booking it in?

2) Audi recently changed a headlight bulb for us and the problem seems to have started since then...could be complete coincidence but are there any wires etc. that could have been dislodged when they were doing it?...its pretty tight in there!

I think the temp gauge is a common fault that affected early models. My 2001 has an erratic guage where sometimes it drops off on long distance motorway travel or barely reads anything. I think it is the sender unit in the block that will want replacing.

But I am sure our resident experts will point you in the right direction. It should be an easy (cheap) fix.
