Thanks Audi for the free gift!

Got a largish box thorugh the post today, stamped Audi.

Opened it up and inside was a USB memory stick and USB port extender cable!

Bottom line was that it was for the new A4 launch, and the USB stick had a movie etc. Plugged the stick in, deleted Audi stuff and I now have a 62MB memory stick, plus cable, all for free!

Best you get asking Audi for an A4 info pack-you may get the same!

Whatever was the cost though!

Isn't the 'new' A4 a face-lift version though rather than a geniune new model?

I believe so-didn't bother with the info they sent me-just moved the movies off the USB stick in excitement!

Reading this months What Car? review of compact execs (X-type, 3 series, A4 and C-class I think), the A4 came bottom.

I would have thought that on styling and depreciation alone then the X-type would have come bottom.
And with the A4 being the only front wheel drive then the packaging would be better too.
Oh well, maybe they just don't like Audis.

Was in Stafford Audi two weeks ago and they has an A4 under wraps in the showroom, salesman tells me that it is the new A4 and no-one can see it until the launch. My question was "Isn't that another one on the forecourt over there, I looked at it on the way in and thought it was a little different . . . . ?"

Very embarrassed salesman!

Was actually stood beside our new A2 that I had just had a close look at so couldn't really miss it.
