I have thought a little while about starting this thread. This is isn't really a standard project thread, it's more about what I do with my car. Service and stuff. I know that I won't take the time to write a guide or a how-to about everything that I do and take photos of. So I thought that it's better that I start this thread and get some info on the forum, instead of not doing it at all.

Django is a 2001 LHD petrol car. Pretty much with the standard equipment to start with. Nothing extra, except a removable tow bar. Not even a false boot floor. But with winter pack. I think all to the cars sold in Sweden are with winter packs, since we have proper winters with snow =o)

He was adopted by us in January 2014, with 158 000 km (98 177 miles) on the clock. Running properly, but not cleaned. Thank you Ingolstadt for the removable back seats! Makes cleaning a lot easier.

The first thing I did to him was to fit cruise control. I hate driving longer journeys without it. Pretty straight forward. But you have to be really careful when you hook it up to the ECU.

And then I guess I did an oil change. There is lots of info about that around the forum aswell. No need to write a guide for that. The only thing I have to say about that is use a good quality oil. Like Castrol Edge.

The dreaded G263 sensor was broken on my car, as with a lot of other cars. Luckily it isn't as hard on the LHD cars, as on RHD. I wrote a guide here on A2OC. It can be found here. http://www.a2oc.net/forum/showthrea...emp-sensor-A-k-a-G263-sensor-Error-code-00818

After that, I fitted the fake boot floor. Nice upgrade. Got parts on eBay from the UK. Started to take some photos for a guide. But the I forgot about the photographing and didn't take more. It's a pretty straight forward job. The main thing I have to say about this is get the interior side panels with the cut outs, or use a really good utility knife. The cutting is a bitch. I didn't get the side panels.

Your posts always makes good reading and the only important thing about 'how to's' is they improve the knowledge of fellow members.
Photos are helpful but I always find that with your hands covered in grease, its not a good time to use a camera so don't be put off if any guide is not illustrated or written like a 'Haynes' manual.

It's been long since I updated. I have some stuff that I will post when I feel like writing it.

Today anyhow, I replaced my break light switch. The mileage right now is 172 264km/107 039 miles. The cruise control sometimes disengages when on a slight incline. I'm hoping replacing the switch will cure this. I have also seen an error code, but only once, related to the break light switch.

It's often mentioned that the switch is up by the steering column. I thinks this only applies to RHD cars, as my car had the break light switch just above the pedal, where you expect to find it. Removing the lower dash trim isn't needed for the repair.

Here's my new green switch in place.
