S-Line was available though not in the UK. Our cobalt TDI had been 'upgraded' to an S2 S-Line by the previous owner. ?Someone has stuck s-line badges on it, pretty sure they never made one!

Hi Robin,Hi Nod,
I about 2 months ago refurbished my £1 project car (02 AMF Tdi SE with OSS and no options barring this) - suspension Bilstein B4 all round ; rear springs were Bilstein B3s, fronts were recycled from my 04 A2 Tdi. Car was on 285k (miles). Also replaced all the various rubber and plastic bushes / shock protectors and bearing mounts front and rear. I can thoroughly recommend the B4 shocks all round and B3 rear springs - in conjunction with SE 6 spoke rims and Uniroyal 195/45/16 tyres and new Febi ARB bushes - the car has a lovely supple ride and very light and lively steering.
If you want catalogue numbers and origins for the parts, I will happily PM them (I was recommended some suppliers here).
This is for the front of Adams BBY with Open Sky:Hi Robin,
I'd love to see the parts list, I'm going to do a complete suspension rebuild including anti-roll bar. I've a 2005 Special Edition with OSS, would your chosen parts be good for this?

okI've just read a few posts on a2-freun.de, and it looks like someone is giving out poor advice over there.
People reading the German site are fitting 1.4TDI/1.6FSI front springs to their 1.4 petrol engined A2s and ending up with high front ends.
Bilstein 37-147679 matches OEM part number 8Z0411105AL and is therefore only suitable for the heavier engined 1.4TDI and 1.6TSI A2s, not the 1.4 petrol.

Hello everybody,
A few days ago I installed the Bilstein B3 37-147679 in my moving dune BBY with air conditioning without OSS . The production date of the springs is 05/20. It is now 4-5 cm higher at the front. The distance from the center of the wheel to the edge of the wheel arch is now 39 cm. That looks like ....... With my diesel it is only 34-35 cm with a standard chassis.
Has anyone had similar experiences?
What can I do now ?
Are there legal springs from other manufacturers which fit better?
I complained to Bilstein. I'm curious what they say."
What engine do you have? Sunroof? Tyre and rim specification (eg. 185/50R16 6Jx16 ET35)?
What are the OEM part numbers for the factory fitted front and rear springs and the factory fitted shock absorbers?
