Finally got around to replacing my number plate lights including the base plates and addressed the horribly poor boot light by adding two touch on lamps. I think i have a bright future lol!

Wow they are bright, you might have to watch out for passing aircraft trying to land on you!

Hi Howey,
Instant MOT fail !! showing white light to the rear of vehicle, if a separate led lamp is fitted I’d suggest rotating it so that it only shines on the number plate only.

If not rotatable I’d send back & source correct lamps.
Hope that helps.
Keith.

Not an issue in daytime they dont appear too bright, the light been shown to the rear is only reflected light anyway so doubt it could be failed but will check next time i log into the system

Those look good . My number plate lamps were also mangled. With the help of Clackers . Who bravely levered the boot lid apart on my car ! I didn't want to do this job as there is no video I can find of how it's done .
Trim tools are the way to go , don't use screw drivers . Anyway new lights fitted with stainless screws so should never be a problem if I need to change a bulb . I bought the lights from
Carparts4less a division of eurocarparts
15 quid ordered online as opposed to 29 from euro !!
I wondered about LED and they do look good.

Yep that’s were I got mine

The lamps have integral leds build in its a lens and bulb assembly in one!

Arrived really quick from Germany around 4 days @V666col got them first and gave me the idea! One purchase is 2 lamps so around £13 a pair depending how many you get and the exchange rate. I got 2 pairs just incase (i buy another A2 lol)

Just to clarify these are only the lamps and dont include the bases see pics!

I was very lucky as @slumdog very kindly sent me the bases for free (i also got a sports gear knob from him too which i love)
