This weekends mod - double DIN conversion without removing the dash

The one fitted to Adams car as in the OP was still going strong in Sept 21 when we sold the car, the sound was good in the standard set up (non Bose). I have now fitted a second one in my daughters car and the touch screen keeps dying, to the extent that it has become useless. That car has Bose and it took a long time to get it to work without popping each time it was booted up, but it sounds great (even without the screen!)
But for the cost I think they are ok.

It’s this one

The Dab aerial which one did you use and did you have to drop the headlining to fit it?

We had a Roof aerial at the time which turned out to be crap. I am currently experimenting with a stick on foil aerial that we have fitted behind the plastic tailgate trim, yet to find a good way to receive DAB though.

I have used those windscreen Dab aerials and those have been pretty good one part attaches to the body could you use that?

Yeah, just I’m a bit of a perfectionist and I can’t stand seeing things like that.
The clear ones run from the headlining down the windscreen parallel to the A pillar are about as inconspicuous as it gets I think. In addition I’ve found the reception with that set up works well.
