Hi,
Plannig to replace the gasket in the throttle body (during a clean) and i can only find a gasket for a 1.4 petrol, mine is a 1.6 petrol. Will this be ok to use? Are they the same?
Have you tried at TPS? Audi original ones aren't expensive.
the gaskets have different part numbers - bearing in mind how much leaks in the system cause problems I would imagine that matching the correct gasket would be essential. Numbers below :
Excellent! Just make sure when you get them that they've only given you one - I ordered 2 (in case of mishaps) and ended up with about 9 because they stuck together in two clumps that were bagged up as 2 gaskets (each of about 4-5 identical layers) at picking without splitting the extra ones back off again. I imagine that putting multiple gaskets in would be equally not a good idea.
well i put some fuel ssytem cleaner in ontop of a tank of Vpower and the throttle issue has sorted itself . Got the gasket in case it eeds done ad goibg to ask mechanic at service to do it
